Hey everyone!
So the year is now officially in full-swing...meaning we finally had a lecture worth going to this week lol. All of the lectures so far have been introductory things, and it was great to have a lecture that introduced fairly new concepts. During "acute inflammation" the professor actually zoomed through her 1 hr lecture in 35 minutes and half the class was literally just blown away by all of the information. Yesterday we had our first pharmacology lecture which was really interesting. So my "vacation" as my mom calls it is officially over and it's time to get down to the grind. But that doesn't mean we're still not having fun!
I know you're going to hate me for saying this, but it's SOOOO HOT here. Like, I step outside and I'm sweating in under a minute. When there's a breeze, it really just feels like someone's breathing on you because it's hot and humid. I don't even take showers with hot water anymore. I just turn on the cold water and away I go...and it still steams up because of my body heat!!! lol It's crazy. Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining. But I'm kind of looking forward to the Australian winter where I'm not sweating ALL THE TIME and where you actually get a cool breeze.
Nothing else exciting to report, but I'll keep you posted! :)
